Cabrini Connections

Tutor/Mentor Connection

We Need Your Help!!

Cabrini Connections is a volunteer-based tutor/mentor program serving teens living in Cabrini Green and the surrounding neighborhoods.  Founded in 1965, the program was originated by Montgomery Ward employees and was located in this very building.  The program has helped thousands of kids graduate high school and go on to college.

Today, Cabrini Connections is located down the street at 800 W. Huron St. and is continuing to help kids from 7th grade through high school. Current enrollment for the new school year is at capacity with 80 students and we are excited for the new school year.

Unfortunately due to the tough economic times, donations are significantly down this year and the program is at risk of shutting down. Cabrini Connections relies 100% on charitable donations and is reaching out to the local community for help.

If you’d like to help, please go to www.cabriniconnections.net, and either click on the donation link in the middle of the page and make an online donation, or you can click on the mail in form link and print out a form to mail in a donation.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me. The best way is by email at gogilles@hotmail.com.

Thank you,

Garett Gilles, Unit #1309
