Cheeni has a huge personality that keeps us laughing and "awwwwwwwww-ing." Perhaps her most defining characteristic is that she wants to befriend just about anything that moves. It's good that we live in a condo because she quite possibly is the worst guard dog known to man....unless of course we wanted her to lick an intruder to death. She has more energy than the two of us combined (as evident in the suicides she does every morning around our home) and is nothing short of a champion sleeper. We have received so much love and humor from this little eight pound wonder and can't remember our life before her!

Aries was plucked from her cage at the Anti-Cruelty Society four years ago; now she is eight and although she remembers the Anti-Cruelty Society fondly, she is happy to be at The Montgomery where she can be a Princess. The Post Office was so taken with her that they have issued a stamp in her honor.

PattyCake: People often confuse me with a stuffed animal, but I am 5 full poodlicious pounds of flesh, blood and beautiful apricot hair.  Toy poodle doesn’t really mean that I am a toy!  I turn lots of heads, both dogs and humans, when I go for my walks in the neighborhood.  I enjoy making friends, though I can be a little stand-offish at first.  You would be too, if everyone was 5 or 6 feet taller than you.

I love to fetch, take long naps, eat treats and cuddle with my adopted parents.  Living at The Montgomery is sure fun and I really like our dog run.  There are lots of other dogs to play with and sniff, but my best friend is my big brother, Rocky D.  I am still working with him on the concept of sharing toys, but overall he’s a great companion and playmate.

Rocky D: “What’s shaking, humans?”  I am Rocky D, the top doggie of the Lane-Riordan household.  My younger sister, PattyCake, and my adopted parents exist to serve me.  In exchange, I provide them with lots of free licks, foot warming services and intruder alerts.  Who needs a doorbell when you have me around?

No lap needs ever be empty with me in the house.  I like to spread the love between family and visitors alike.  I really enjoy my little rawhide sticks, and am occasionally successful with my begging for delicacies like popcorn or ice cream.  Although it can be rough being a male miniature poodle, I make the most of my dashing good looks and gentle personality to make new human friends.  “Here’s licking at you, kid.”

Loki (aka "Monster") is a full-bread Ragdoll we welcomed to our family Spring of 2007 as a playmate for his sister, Lexi.  His birthday is January 16, 2007. The name ‘Loki’ comes from the Greek god of mischief, which fits his personality perfectly.  His sloth-like tendencies, mischievous behaviors, along with his affinity for anything meat related (turkey, mommy's home cooked chicken, ham) coined him his nickname ‘Monster.’

Maintaining a kitten-like mentality, he loves to play and be babied.  He enjoys meeting new people, and has no fears about being the center of attention.  He is by all means of the word a ‘copy-cat’, as he has zero interest in a toy or activity until his older sister, Lexi, is engaging in them. He is a large cat weighing in at 13 pounds.

Lexi (aka "Bunny") is a full-bread Ragdoll we welcomed to our home in the Winter of 2006.  Her birthday is August 28, 2006. We call her Bunny given her unusually soft coat, desire to burrow under the bed sheets, agility moving throughout the house, and petite 8 pound frame.

Her taste-buds prefer anything with sugar, as she enjoys yogurt, jelly, and ice cream.  Her loving personality and unique quirks make her a perfect member of the family, as she is truly a ‘mamma's girl’. As long as you do not make sudden movements, she enjoys the company of strangers from a distance as she lets her younger brother, Loki, do most of the initial investigation.

Hi! My name is Perriwinkles. I was around when this joint was The Montgomery Wards Corporation Headquarters...I am 90 in people years. I moved in with my mama and this buddy of mine, P-Willy in October 2009. I have met Cecil, a big orange dog. I hear there's a kitten down the hall, whom I haven't had the honor of meeting yet. Thinking about taking a venture to the dog run. I love running around in circles out on the balcony and sprinting down the hallway on 17. Hey, I hope to meet all y'all . . . stop by and I'll have my mom hook you up with a treat!

P.S. I love toast with melted butter on it and licking yogurt off of my silver spoon.

Jimmy is fast approaching his 14th birthday. It is somehow appropriate that his birthday is April 1st, April Fool’s Day.  He is to us (mostly me) one of the smartest dogs in the building. He dislikes, tape measurers, ladders, vacuum cleaners, and almost all other dogs. I have not really figured out what he likes except Canadian bacon. He is a good boy and certainly a cute one!

The photos show him on the school bus that he takes regularly to K9 University.  He typically “bullies” other dogs out of the front seat but, one day just decided to use the Pug as a cushion.

Pearl, we think, is almost 2 years old. She was a rescue dog from Waveland, Mississippi. I went with 3 other people from PAWS to Mississippi in the Fall of 2008. The minute I walked in the door, there was Pearl, trying to wedge herself out of the cage by standing on one of her friends. When I called the animal shelter to find out more about her, they said that she was found by “the constable” walking down the street in Pearlington, Mississippi.  Fast forward a year and ½ later, and she now owns the condo.  (Not really of course.)

Pearl loves K9 U. She loves hanging out on the couch. She doesn’t like the cold weather.
